Maybe because state's rights, coming litigation if any gun grabbing occurs, everyone is now stirred to vote in Virginia because the attention on this issue is waking people the hell up.
Just a few possibilities, I'm trying to look on the bright side of this utter mess in VA.
I think the bright side, such as it is, is they tried doing everything at once and went way out of bounds. CA has been more strategic, heating the water slowly, but they threw VA right into a boiling pot, and this will get settled sooner rather than later.
