The city was given taxpayer money and told back in the 1970's to replace it's lead piping. Where did the money go? The city collapsed in during the lost decade of the 1990's, people fled, yet more aid was given. Where did the money go? The city declared bankruptcy in the 2010's and Snyder appointed an emergency manager to cut city operation costs. To save money the manager approved the usage of Flint's own water pumping equipment that had been installed and idle for 5 decades. A failure of engineering controls created a pH imbalance which exposed and desolved the lead into the water distribution system. With the state democrats looking to regain power, this was a perfect crisis to smear their opponents, and to funnel hundreds of millions of tax payer dollars into the city. Of which very little went to actually repairing the problem. So where did the money go?

You see the pattern, I see it. The real problem was created by greed and lust for more power over an urban population.
