People think Napoleon lost his empire because he fought on two fronts. They point towards the invasion of Russia as his downfall. What most people don't know is that Napoleon actually conquered and took over Moscow. Yet, he still lost. Why? Because the Russians abandoned Moscow and lured him into taking over a worthless city.
