Rachel Maddow's own lawyer has informed us that Rachel's words are not meant to be taken as statements of fact. When Rachel says a thing is really, literally true, her viewers are not supposed to think that she means a thing is really, literally true. Rachel deals strictly in "rhetorical hyperbole." Her TV show consists of nothing but Rachel blowing hot air, neither true nor false. Her own lawyers have instructed the public to not believe her.
