I'm retired here in WV, after a lifetime in Chicago. shudder I live very near the VA border and my friends across the border in VA are appalled at what's going on in their state. VA has been 'taken over' by the leftie libs in the VA- DC urban centers while the rest of the state just doesn't have the voting numbers to prevail against them. VA across the state loves Trump, they're just ordinary working Americans who recognize what he has accomplished for all of us. Its pretty terrifying, really, concentrated deep blue urban centers taking over entire states. I don't know the answer.
The decadent, perverse urbanites will rule over the moral, decent rural folks. This is America's future.
The answer is to split from the urban centers. We become rural states, as the Founders intended, and they become city states. If DC no longer serves our interests, we leave them as well. Hopefully we can do this peacefully, but we must do it before we are disarmed, in case we cannot come to some peaceful agreement.
I agree, same problem in Colorado. Denver/Boulder/Fort Collins mega-urban nightmare turned a very red state blue. The rural areas are almost completely patriot Trump supporters. Finally had to pack up and move to redder pastures.
The Plebians, ancient Roman commoners out in the countryside, had a great strategy for compelling the city of Rome's Patricians and urbanites to respect their rights: they went on strike. The Plebians quit doing for the city all the shit that Rome needed its blue-collar plebians to do, like deliver food, waste collection, sanitation, etc. Rome turned into a starving, stinking, garbage dump in no time at all. Let's see how long Fredericksburg holds out after all the local Kroger's are bare and the city's dumpsters haven't been emptied in 2 months.

Half of Fredericksburgs votes likely come from the college there. Allowing voting in an area you don't actually live in is a problem.
