It's going to be an ugly mess to behold. It will not end quickly, though of course the result will be a party line (or close to it) vote to acquit. That is a certainty because, of course, there is no case whatsoever. However, it will surpass the Kavanaugh hearing for sheer anger inducement. Our feckless GOP Senators will bumble about, and the timorous quavering voice of Susan Collins, and the furrowed tortured face of Ms. Murkowski, and the superciliousness of Mr. Romney will be on full display. Our bumblers will work at cross purposes to one another, seeming to agonize over every simple procedural vote. We will scream at our televisions and wonder at their absolute inability to control the clown show. And our Chief Justice will solemnly pretend that it really is a grave and serious "trial", which of course it is not. It is bullshit political theater, forced upon us by the worst people in our country, the seditious leaders of the left. The dems will all lie shamelessly and constantly. The greasy and endlessly conniving dem lawyers will make sure that their profession is even more hated than it is now. They will gravely intone upon our constitution and "democracy" being at risk, while doing their best to demean an undermine both. They will lie about the law. They will lie about the facts. The hypocrisy will reach thermonuclear levels. To each his own, but I'm not going near the damn thing.
