I think Trump loves America, without a doubt, but isn't up on his civics like he should be. Nothing justifies violating the second amendment, most of all not some appeal to "safety" or "the children."

Give me dangerous liberty over peaceful slavery, Mr. President. You cannot truly love America without wholly embracing her founding principles. Liberty is worth the risks. I think deep down, patriots, Trump voters know this.

Exactly. Freedom doesn't mean safety. It means the right to choose. Take me forexample, last week a woman was brutally murdered 5 houses down from me. 3 houses from my kids bus stop. I live in a state where getting a permit to carry is 500 dollars at its cheapest, plus 6 months plus for processes if your lucky. I still carry, I have to live with the fear of potentialtially becoming a felon, a criminal, just to protect myself and my kids every morning. Just to have mye and my kids safety secured I have to live inx fear of never seeing them again. This is the reality of most of the country, and the boomer tier response of "just move" is pathetic, this is my fucking home, why should I abandon my home, if a red state went the way mine has I guarantee people wouldnt just run away. The fact he is silent on this issue completely is incredibly defeating.

That's rough. We all have a valid carry permit, signed by the founders. It's a shame we fear our own government just for exercising our rights.
