Dunno if the world is worse off for overtly killingSolamani, but I sure as hell know it is a better world w/o him. Guy was a dictator. Reflections of Hitler, really. Killing off thousands of political dissenters, execution of religious sects, and the sponsor of militia groups to aid him. If the guy had his way, the numbers would be more comparable to the Nazis, I'm sure, not just his dogma.
