A couple months back I watched all his Netflix specials. It was clear in his (LA?) show that he wasn't feeling it, he seemed lost. Then cancel culture hit, he saw his friends lose their careers, and Chapelle found his purpose. He owns the stage now. I can't think of a more relaxed, honest, complete comedian.
