I'm against further military adventurism in the Middle East and very much in favor or leaving the region entirely.

But if Iran wants to fuck around, and decides to seriously escalate the matter, the next best step is to sink their entire navy and blockade their ports.

That's the least intrusive military action against Iran without going (striking) into Iran.
