What happened to the original Reddit sub?

Over the past few days the entire sub-reddit has devolved into war cheering fangroup that would make John Bolton proud.
I always thought they were going to ban The_Donald but after getting banned myself for mentioning that a war with Iran was a bad idea, I suspect that the mods there are being blackmailed to turn the sub into a neocon echo chamber.
There are actually posts praising Jimmy Carter today. I had to let that sink in for a few minutes before it all clicked what had happened.
We need to be extra careful not to allow the dark players on Reddit from migrating here or this website will suffer the same fate.

Dear OP, discussing what must be done in the Muslim middle east is often confusing because occasionally Neocons, Israel and patriots all want the same thing, but for vastly different reasons.
Iran needs to be dealt with before they start building nukes.
I'm happy for President Trump to do what must be done, sooner rather than later.
The truth is that if we didn't spend the last 60 years destabilizing the Arabs, they would have consolidated their vast, vast, vast oil wealth and vast human resources into a superpower to rival all others... and the whole world would be fucked.
President Trump is in a unique spot where endless destabilization and war has finally destroyed the Moslem middle east's economy and left their industries and infrastructure destroyed. President Trump can now withdraw most of our troops and watch the Moslem middle east circle the drain.
The Moslems want only war, so we had them fight each other.
This is the only way because Islam is not our friend and will never coexist with the civilized world.
The problem is terrorism doesnt need an organized nation. It only needs a will.
Secondly, while certainly want to see us withdraw, the tlak coming out of the government seems to indicate they are prepared for another proxy war with boots in nearby countries.
Your estimation is probably correct. They are simply moving these men to another area on the board.

Arabs have been consistently at war with each other since the dawn of history. Islam is the biggest reason, but there are tribal allegiances and wealth disparities which have also kept them fighting. If the West never got involved in the middle east, it would basically look the same: people with only slight differences between them massacring each other constantly. There was no hope of them consolidating power or working cooperatively - ever.
To be honest, Iran was civilized before the CIA coup. Americans took vacations there. Even Afghanistan and Iraq in the 70s looked far more civilized than they do now. The true Arab regions (Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, etc) im not so sure about though.
Let them. We can handle it. Plus, nobody will be banned here for an honest opinion. Bottom line, they can’t control the narrative here.
