Germany took it's nuclear power offline and spent a ton of money on a solar network that they thought would supply them with 70% of their need. It only provides 5% because the sun doesn't shine in Germany ! They've had to go back to burning coal, the lignite type that makes the most emissions lol

So I can see why they want more windmills, and are desperate to get Germans to accept them
