Understanding argumentation theory and common fallacies is something I believe every student should learn to inform their fundamental ability to be educated.

I can't tell you how many times somebody's running their beef hole to me about Orange Man Bad, and I'm thinking "Ad hominem, appeal to motive, no true Scotsman..." only to come to the end of their rant realizing they have not made a single non-fallacious point.
