I agree that we need to GTFO Iraq. Doing so right after the embassy attack would have been viewed in the area as a humiliation of US power and a victory for Iran hegemony.

I would argue that POTUS should inform the Iraqi leadership that there will be no more money spent and no more American blood shed on the behalf of their failed state, and that they're on their own next year at this time. They have that long to figure out how to stand on their own two feet.
