My brothers and sisters, I have come to you today to write about an idea that while only occurring to me as I checked this website on the way to continue my New Years celebrations, has the opportunity to cement our shared narrative and cause beyond the narrow trappings of daily politics.
I like each of you, have passions.
I like each of you, have found hiding my political perspectives to be conducive to pleasant conversation.
I like each of you, have wondered how many are hiding behind silence, afraid to be shunned by the ignorant.
To each of these points, I believe that we should expand this website or this format in such a way as we allow it to become a direct competitor to reddit. I imagine a website where people can freely discuss their sports interests, musics interests, gaming interests, and other topics. The youth of our website would ensure fresh and engaging conversation with new ideas! We can seek to counterbalance the overtone of leftist thinking on reddit, with our own freedom thinking on DotWin.

I think the two are linked. Giving more people room to express themselves and not feel constrained by the leftist will only draw more to our side.
I agree that the expansion should be balanced. I think we could start by adding some common interests areas for other topics such as music, games, videos.
and then need more programming to support paid advertising and allow or require users to make donations - who is paying for all this ?
Excellent point. We don’t want any advertising at all. I do have a small issue with not knowing who is/are the actual financiers behind this site. The fact is, because we don’t know who is paying for the site and nothing is free in life, we must be the product.
I do find it odd that this site has been fairly tame with respect to infiltrators. There could be a slew of illegal activity designed to degrade the image of its users, but so far all I’ve seen is some self promoting and a handful of racist trolls.
As of now, I’ve seen more free expression of thought and language here than anywhere on the internet. I’d like to think we aren’t giving up information to be used against us by using our right to free speech, but the manner in which it is provided won’t allow us to know. It’s a catch 22, this site.
