Please don't put down Blue Collar jobs. We need electricians, plumbers, construction, steelworkers, mechanics, and even police officers who are often considered Blue Collar. And a lot of these Blue Collar workers are intellectuals. Many of them read far more and self-educate more than people with a college education. Two-year training schools for Blue Collar jobs are just as valuable as colleges.

That's very true, but it's also very easy to overcorrect. I got an engineering degree from a state school in the Midwest, and it was an excellent choice for me. I've got an extremely well paying job that won't destroy my body, and even my most liberal English professor was happy to give me an A on a paper about how liberals are trapped in bubbles on social media. It's easy to assume that just because bat shit crazies in Cali and the northeast are full of bullshit that all colleges are crap, but young people should look at all their options before deciding on a career.

Guy just did my roof. 8.am to 1pm over 2 days...for $3K. The trick...gotta work for yourself, get a good reputation, FIND clients, and quote. With that sort of dough you'll soon LOVE "roofing".

[Edit: Yeah, I could have/should have done the job myself...BUT it meant acquiring some new simple skills, and equipment that I'd NEVER use again, and standing on a roof for around 8 hours a day; for probably 4 days....too fucking lazy; and I've got a large enough stash for a rainy day]

"And a lot of these Blue Collar workers are intellectuals."

That's where they are (generally) these days. So many tertiary colleges/universities that tout themselves as humanities and/or social 'science' citadels are simply retard adult child minding centres. Some of their 'professors and lecturers would have been locked up in a loony bin 60 years ago.
