Something is coming. You can feel it. I can feel it. I have felt it since I reached the age of reason back in the early 90's. Something wasn't right about the OK City bombing story. Something wasn't right about Waco. Something wasn't right about Ruby Ridge. Something was off about 9/11 - you know it is true. Something deep in your gut told you Obama getting elected was wrong. And that he had no opposition when getting re-elected. At some point - you started to know you need guns. You started buying guns. Even if you aren't an avid shooter - you have guns in the basement or under the bed. You don't really talk about "why do you need an assault rifle" very much. But you know in your mind "Tyranny" is the answer. You've seen all the genocidal mass murders around the world were ALWAYS committed by governments and you thought "Not me. Not my family. Not without a fight." Because after all, everyone knows Americans love to fight. Even though we have jobs, and live respectable lives, and don't go around looking for trouble. Even though when we come upon someone who is obviously disturbed we mind our own business and will try to keep the peace even if we are insulted. We love to fight, but we value freedom and social order even more. Just a little bit more. It is this love for our personal freedom and our deep respect for our amazing social order that keeps the peace. If you have been just about anywhere in the world you know that this truly is the BEST place that has ever existed in human history. You have a deep sense of reverence for what we have created here. But just beneath the surface, you know something isn't right. You feel violence coming. You feel a conflict brewing. Here is how that will look. There will not be mass chaos. There will not be enormous battlegrounds. Reston, VA is not going to look like Denmark after WW2. There will be no men lining up in fields to shoot at each other. There will be no epic clash of battle. No, things will look quite similar to how they are now. All of us will go to work. Keep busy. Feed our families. Stop at red lights. Wave to the neighbor. Take vacations. Go to school. Shop for groceries. We will bide our time. With opposition. With disobedience. There will be skirmishes. There will be more Waco. There will be small exchanges. The feds will try some things. Maybe get the NG involved. Maybe jack-booted thugs will kick in doors at night, and people will be waiting for them. Their friends will be waiting for them. The thugs will turn into gangs because otherwise they will not be safe. There will be ambushes set against these thugs. And we will see it on the news. And we will know something good is happening. Then the moment we know is coming. When we descend on state capitols and throw the bastards out - and no one stops us.
