Grannypede here...way back in the 60s, a young Jewish man named Alan Gottlieb began an organization now known as The Second Amendment Foundation. When his publication began, it was a small rag, filled with all manner of historical info, maps, etc. ab how the Jews were slaughtered during WWII for being either disarmed or under-armed. Back then, I was unaware of the firearm element of the slaughter. Today, SAF is a trustworthy action org, with no one needing to be concerned ab their integrity. Gottleib understands the NECESSITY of our 2A!

I bring this up, bc THIS young Jewish man knew EXACTLY what the issue was/is, and he has never wavered nor stumbled. He is a hero of mine, not bc I am Jewish (I am not), but bc he saw the truth of a matter and has pursued this truth like a Pit Bull. If you ever have doubts ab contributing your hard-earned $$ to a 2A effort, this guy is pure as the driven snow. https:/www.sfa.org

I’m glad she mentioned more powerful pieces than the .22. I have one question meowsters? What’s in your arsenal?

eh, trying keep it short.. I could go off on hobby kits and restoration pieces, but out here, there's really no need to get too fancy. glock 19 and mini-30 are the house's favorites between our different body types and response times.

in self defense, really, I'm more keen to invest in other toys. guns are good but you've got to round it out for every situation.

reality, for the elderly, disabled, wispy peeps, 22 is the most practical. more economical options for pistols and rfiles tend to be in that range.

there's times it might apply to others, when I was working as a bouncer, it was impractical any larger caliber than 9mm between the crowds and the likelihood most scenarios would involve someone being in breathing distance. still, you end up relying on other forms of self defense but many, even physical styles, are being as quickly eroded as guns are.. so, if not outright illegal, it's usually in a gray area in most states and other nations. I'm partial to rods but the market is shit for them, too. in work, someone turned me on to weighted wrist/watch bands adds a little oomph while still being a gray area if you can argue it's a fashion choice.

It’s down right baffling.

Yours is the best oxymoron I ever heard.
