ok so we have KROGER brand stores here in Nevada, SMITHS grocery etc...they offer FUEL POINTS, for spending $$ $1 spend = 1 fuel point, each $100 spent = 10cents off per gallon up to $1 off
I needed a new pellet stve from HomeDepot, it was $1100 on sale...I bought 2 $500 gift cards from smiths grocery on a friday when they have 4x fuel points (on the smiths app load to card 4x fuel points) gift cards of ANY type make fro 4x points
$1000 in cards = 4000 fuel points!
ya have 60 days to use em up
up to 35 gallons of gas or diesel @ $1 save per gallon = $35 savongs x4 times...= $140 in discounts....
I filled the motorhome w gas, my diesel F250 dual tank and all my 5 gallon gas cans for the RZRs, car only hold 11 gallons sadly...but either way YOU GET THE DRIFT..
when 4x fuel points BUY gift cards..the VISA GIFT CARDS are good on anything...so even if you dont have any need for HomeDepot or whatever brand...get the VISA refillable cards....for whatever amount & get 4x fuel points and start saving money every month
this is 100% legal
yes it's a great loophole that most ppl dont realize to take advantage of....I drive 130 miles round trip daily so I need gas alot...etc...so saves me & my family $$$ annually...

I like your attitude here, but it’s not a loophole. They want you to use their product, the card, for the 3% fee paid by the vendor, who then charges more for their goods to compensate. I promise, they aren’t losing money at any point by letting you “earn” the discount. These are shrewd and seasoned financiers, that simply don’t leave cracks where money slips away. thanks no 3% fee....homedepot & food cards for Olive Garden, little caesars etc....price is same...$ is same.... I got 5k in fuel points and saved 70$ this month so far...filled up motorhome & my deisel truck...topped em off (up to 35 gallons/$35 savings per fill up savings)
might be a fee 3% of ya got the VISA gift card...not sure!
I do this too. I live near Sam's, Food Lion, Aldi's. BJ 's, Fresh Market, and Earth Fare. The fuel points and my proximity make Krogers my first choice. Once a month we like to caravan to the Krogers together to save 35$ on gas. The gift cards are nice for Amazon, Lowes, and all these little 25$ restaurant cards for casual friends for Christmas.
I dont normally get the generic Visa cards, as the ones sold here a surcharge that cancels out the savings.
YES you get the oint of this post! I got 5000 fule points this past month....bought a pellet stove from HomeDepot...1100bucks....x4 fuel points got 4400 gas points! then 5 $50 amazon cards for the nieces & nephews.... Im running out of vehicles to fuel up! motorhome/f250 diesl turbo truck are now both FULL saved $70 on gas/diesel on those two alone!
its a NO BRAINER for me :-) Kroger (smiths here locally)
