I'm kind of sad that the pressure from the base is to end the impeachment quickly.

Missed opportunity for the Senate to take their time and air the whole thing out. They could put on a whole act about taking it very seriously, let the media jerk up a boner thinking Republicans would actually turn on Trump, then give them another case of year's-long blueballs like we haven't seen since Mueller.

Then again, Mitch probably has a few things he'd like to keep quiet as well, so a quick death is what it'll be.
