The Communist Control Act of 1954 had banned the Democratic party, the fact that they are still active shows how broken our system is. Those shits need to be in prison for sedetion of the United States. Trump still needs to clean this all up.

One school of thought says that was a bad act and caused them to do underground where we can't see them.

I don't think it actually banned it; one just had to register as an agent of the ComIntern, essentially an agent of the Soviet Union.
