One theory going the rounds is that he hoped Trump would nominate him for Supreme Court Justice. When that didn't happen he turned on him big-time--out of butthurt. Just a theory.

I have a brother in law (state District Court Judge) that went from a funny, informative, reasonable guy to a rabid Trump hating maniac almost overnight.
We laughed and talked about Trump during the campaign season in a very reasonable way until shortly after the election. Suddenly, the guy I knew was gone and what remained was the body that had been snatched by some unknown dark force that can no longer reason (yes he's an activist judge now).
I know this sounds like infowars type delusion, but it seems like something is going on that is turning some people into rabid radicals on the turn of a dime. It's really bizarre what is happening, and it's not just in the USA. Maybe it's simply all of the media brainwashing.
I've spent some hours thinking about your comment. If it is 'Media Brainwashing' then the media has powerful tools I haven't yet recognized.
