One thing that has confused me specifically in the last 12 months and I am being serious - has climate change happened ALREADY? I am told some Pacific islands are already submerged due to rising sea levels, so have the polar ice caps already melted? I am told droughts and bush fires happening right now are caused by climate change. Then I am being told we have passed a point of no return for a climate change feedback loop but then when we say "whelp, no point worrying about it now" they walk it back and tell us we can still fix things if we abolish current heiracy and systems and adopt global economic governance, redistribute our wealth and submit to some kind of punitive justice where geography and ideas are the "victims".
