I thought schools would just make a rule of no pins or something like that, then when kids would wear it into class they just get kicked out if unwilling to take it off or get detention. Schools can ban stuff that is distracting in a learning environment, like banning skirts that are too short. That certainly does not make the parents and students unable to voice their dissatisfaction with a new rule. But it also makes the playing field level. No Trump pin? No other candidate pins. Ripping a pin from a students clothes and mocking her about it is just flat out unacceptable and immature. That teacher deserves punishment for his actions.
