The softhearted idiot on the street might think that, but the people in power driving the narratives are definitely not the softhearted types. They are either:

• Politicians seeking power and influence because we allow them to hold political positions as a career.

• Extremely rich people who think that their money entitles them to tell other people what to do, and who abuse that money to buy Politicians seeking power and influence because we allow politicians to hold positions as a career.

Seems pretty clear to me that term limits are necessary before we will have any hope to fight the worst political corruption.
