Tim is a strange dude. Much of what he says aligns perfectly with a conservative viewpoint, but he continues to hammer the "I don't like Trump's policies and I'm a progressive," mantra. He's slower at taking the red-pill than HA Goodman, and that's saying something. It's just so weird. It's like he's in complete denial. He says the left is corrupt, they're trash, but then he still wants to support them. Cognitive impairment.

I come from a similar background, and think i can explain it. He desperately wants the dreams of the left, but understands they can't possibly work [ie, universal health care]. Instead of simply shedding the bad ideas, he clings desperately to them because it's part of how he identified his entire youth/20s. He wants to find some sort of compromise to get halfway there.

I can definitely relate. It took me awhile to work certain utopian ideas out of my system. Not Tim Pool slow, but definitely took time, because it's part of your political identity, it's how your friends think, etc.

This makes sense, and it would be wonderful if we could all have free stuff. But once you realize that these are simply childish dreams that would never work in real life and have been proven to not work over and over, that’s when you have consumed the red pill. Tim pool just hasn’t gotten there yet I guess. He doesn’t realize that evil authoritarian people use these utopian dreams to convince people to give them power so they can rob us blind. He doesn’t realize that if he joins our side people would be far better off and be able to take care of themselves!

I think this is true. I've been reading Matt Tiabi, and it's the same sort of thing. He is actually from Russia, and has spoken out a lot against the whole Russia hoax, and against trying to remove Trump, even putting it in the context of Soviet Russia. But he doesn't give up on the left! They just have to come to understand that totalitarianism is inseparable from leftism.

I think it comes down to having no backbone. He is seeing the left's abuse of power and feels that it is safe to call that out, but is scared to stand out with the men that support Trump for fear of triggering backlash of TDS bots, so he still tries to blend in with them by parroting bot phrases. Looking at him, I'm not confident he will ever progress past this.

I think, above all else, Tim is a shrewd businessman and his moves are calculated to ensure the success of his business endeavor. To that end, he's playing a balancing act of calling out the Left just enough to engage and keep his target audience - MAGA crowd, conservatives and moderate Democrats - but not enough that the big-tech TDS brain-trust ban him.

Bingo. The minute he says he supports Trump his channel will be disappeared like everyone else.

I think he's supporting a virgin the left that is no longer significant

Tim will never turn on the Democratic party. He is broken. He may cry and scream against them, but in the end he will obey. And there are millions of Democrats just like him.
