I always thought it was weird that his grandmother (his only biological relative alive at the time) died the day before the 2008 election. It was played up a bit in the media, I think for sympathy points, then never mentioned again, ever.
I told my sons that 2008 was when the media stopped doing their job. There was so much about Obama that was unbelievably bad. Never had a job. Won all of his elections with magic dirt appearing at the right time. Nearly zero legislative experience. Voting "present". Rev. Wright. Bill Ayres. And that's all the on-the-surface easily provable.
The copious other rumor and innuendo was never really investigated by the media, much less "debunked." No curiosity about his grades? Enrollment? Time in Indonesia? Birth Certificate? Who authored his books? The fiction in his book canonized as real?
I remember Howard Dean being drummed out of the presidential race because of a weird roar after he won. Not that I was a Howard Dean fan, but really? That "yell" was disqualifying but alllll the BS surrounding Obama was not. C'mon. The media was in the tank for Obama from day one.
