Just watched yesterday as well. It was just Tarantino doing an alternate history revenge porn on Sharon Tate's Manson family killers. How it could have gone differently if they picked a different house to fuck with.
I see much more in that movie. For Tarantino to CRUSH the REEEEEEEEr's SO hard.....it was AWESOME. Especially for a locale Hollywood movie. He went out of his way to point out the hippies talking about "the fascists" and they get curb stomped by a testosterone injected Brad Pitt. Tarantino could have "alternate history revenged" any time,any place....he picked Hollywood, Hippie freakville 1960s. Tarantino's no fool...he knew.
