Wait, we are allowed to just not show up to court when we don’t want to now?

Formal invitation, not a subpoena

Doesn't make a difference to democrats, they get no penalties in either case

Smart legal tactic on their behalf by burning time on a ticking clock. Hopefully the Republicans saw this coming - they should have - and already drafted a subpoena that simply needs served.

Want to bet the Democrats likely knew this would happen and weren't prepared to show up at all but the Republicans probably cleared their schedule with intent to be present and are now behind the 8?

Always how it is. Republicans know very much how they all operate by now.

My just be legal standard formally. First you ask, then you subpoena...may be designed to make them look like they did not want to cooperate. May just be because subpoena takes longer to get.

Yes, it is not the first time something like this has happened at any state level or federal process.

Man, at least Cuckerburg shows up to lie in person.

Sometimes.

Those are just test runs, they're working on Cuckerborg's programming so it's ready when it has to go under oath.

You know, I honestly thought Musk would have beat him to the fully animated robot thing, but those Senate hearings show otherwise.

"in person" >> "as his cyborg self"

Nothing to see here folks.... You have got to be kidding me. When do the trials start?

I believe the people in the state procurement department should address the questions. They made the acquisition decision and should be aware of its capabilities and why they chose it. Dominion should also be front and center but let's not forget those who received kickbacks.

Testifying is racist because a black man named Daryl had to wake up early and showing up on time is a white person traight.

SUBPOENA DOMINION

I really, honestly, truly try to finger it out myself before posting a query but....is Dominion technically a FOREIGN entity (I thought there were Canadian and Venezuelan origins?)? And what became of the 8chan (I think?) guy who was going to brief Jim Jordan yesterday at 9 a.m. with irrefutable, forensic digital evidence he'd uncovered - has there been ANY word on that?

Either running scared, or afraid to show any faces for fear of being tracked back to crooked relationships.

Realistically speaking, what was the upside for Dominion to show up?

Look at the Democratic hearings on the hill this year, where Democrats dragged people in, asked them questions, then didn't let them answer.

Watch for this: Dominion will rename the company in the next year or two or they will be 'acquired' and absorbed. It'll probably happen in the summer when the news cycle is elsewhere. Companies rename when they screw up to break SEO.
