What's the proof that they need 84% turnout to be competitive? Overall election turnout is never anywhere close to 75%, 75% seems like really good turnout.

Great question, I normally trust Larry here but maybe his numbers are off. In 2016 overall turnout was 68%.

This chart shows Dem turnout at 68%.

If his 75% number is true, that would be bad news.

Schweikart was right in 2016 and again with the midterms. His estimates were very close on the number of seats Democrats were going to pick up. He does a good job looking at actual evidence and ignores polls.

If the Trump rally data is correct, in some states 10 to 20% of attendees have been registered Democrats.
