I just don't see why Schiff would let the Senate take control of his impeachment project. He will get called as a witness too, along with the whistleblower.

To your first point, Cocaine Mitch outfoxed them while they were busy mugging it up to be on the Republican highlight reels. He invoked cloture for dozens of appointments, forcing debate to end and immediate votes to happen.

The second point is interesting. Is this how they fuck Bernie without making it look like they fucked Bernie?
